Drill, Drill and Drill Some More…Shaun Curry
How many reasons do we need to understand that drilling domestically needs to be expanded significantly? For decades we have abided by the myopic premise that has contributed to our current dilemma. “Intellectual elites” like Barack Hussein Obama oppose new drilling thereby recycling impractical and antiquated ideas. He would prefer we are still beholden to the Saudi empire and Wahhabism.
Its apparent that Osama (I mean Obama, honest mistake, really) and his ignorant followers oppose compassion to poor Americans, oppose decreasing the trade deficit, oppose creating more jobs (high-paying blue collar jobs no less), oppose increasing national security, and definitely oppose American exceptionalism (as they always have) by eliminating the need to travel across the country and plead to increase production.
What other nonsensical arguments exist from the left in opposition. One of the more popular ones is we need to focus on alternative energies. Yes, absolutely we do. But to focus entirely on alternatives that may or may not be viable and technological breakthroughs that might not happen in the timeframe we anticipate would be very imprudent planning at this juncture.
The Gulf, ANWR, oil shale in Colorado all can provide independence from foreign oil. If we want to drive down crude prices and prices at the pump, drill here. Explore for oil here. All will have beneficial aspects on the commodity markets, push the bulls out and drive prices down. It is very simple. But, unfortunately, simplicity has historically been quite elusive for those on the left.
